      Three relevant results followed by For You and People also watched sections that have nothing to do with it.

      I try to find old youtube videos but now ever search result pulls up the same slop with the same type of thumbnails.

      Even if you type in the exact name of the video it still shows the modern YT slop in the results. I had to find the channel name and search for the video that way.

      Youtube is now a cesspool or sad people forced to make daily videos in order to get paid.

      Earlier we could filter search result by views count. That don’t work anymore as before – like despacito song was always on top and other top songs by following. 

      Now it shows more the content I have seen previously- they f up

      I just love searching for a 3-minute tutorial and getting recommended a 2-hour video essay on something completely unrelated by the second scroll

      They even ruined filtering. Can no longer sort by upload date. Makes searching specific news/updates incredibly difficult to find.

      Nah, you get 3 recent videos (relevance… kinda), 2 rows of shorts no one wants to click, 20 videos not even remotly related….
      Then you get actual relevant videos, of terrible quality, because the ranking system is ass, comments are disabled and you cant see downvotes. So now you have a fork in thr toaster, the cats on cocaine, and you still havent figured out where the last flask piece is.

      Used to be able to look up DYI videos and find exactly what you need and pretty quickly. Now it’s a bunch of YouTube Shorts half ass related to what you’re searching for and product reviews. YouTube is an inferior product to what it once was 15 years ago

      i basically only ever use the search bar to search “asmr medical” in the night for falling asleep. And everytime the stupid shorts come up which are for whatever reason about disgusting trypophobia inducing larva..
      And I can’t say: block that shit from my youtube forever like you CAN DO with videos.
      Fuck Youtube! never got any ad money from me, and I say that proudly

      I was looking for an amv from early 2000s where I first heard “Ready to go” by republica. I don’t think I even got close to what I saw before

      Burning my brain though. I heard the song recently and I’m certain it was a favorite from a long time ago, but I can’t find it.

      I swear Youtube just shows you 5 related results, then some ads, some reels, and unrelated videos that are just sourced from your algorithm.
