      Technically Britain started deporting to the murican colonies. Australia was the MkII penal colony

      Britain used America as a penal colony/place to send people they didnt like up until we stopped letting them. After which they started colonizing Oz instead

      So in a way, the modern nation of Australia owes its existance to the American Revolution
