    1. Yeah they stole them and turned them into Nazi symbols. Context is key and without context, they are read as Nazi symbols now. That’s how appropriating a symbol works

    2. Teutonic Order? Miltarist state, that murdered and forcefully converted Prussians and waged war on Catholic Poland? You mean the good guys?

    3. Saying that “hmm akstually that’s a Prussian symbol” as if it makes it any better when the prussian general staff was the one who pushed for WWI even when the Kaiser didn’t want it, stayed in power afterwards and worked from day one to destroy german democracy, succeeding in the 30s where they made the parliament useless and governed by executive degreed and then invited Hitler to power after he lost his 2 elections so they could have the smallest legitimacy when finally destroying the parliament and declaring an open dictatorship with the explicit intend of starting another war.

The Prussian general staff is the party who bears the most responsibility for both world wars, the 2 most devastating events in human history, and their symbols should be despised as much as the nazi ones.

Iron Cross maybe, but there isn’t a single cunt out there who is wearing a totenkopf and isn’t a nazi.

    5. I mean yes… But if you paint them all over your Warhammer models that’s just thin plausible deniability and youre a Nazi, it’s a bad look

    6. Yes they have history and yes Germany still uses the iron cross at least. HOWEVER if I go outside and I see a white guy with an iron cross and/or a deaths head the chances that he is just an appreciator of Germany military history is next to 0.

Sergei Bondarchuk definitely emphasized the Nazi ascetic of the Prussians in this film, which is kind of a weird choice since they’re the Big Damn Heroes who arrive to save Wellington in the film. But then again it was only 25 years since World War Two at that point, and the movie was supported by the Soviet government.

    8. Defense of Nazi symbology ✅️

Depicting the other side of the argument as crying Wojak ✅️

      Teutonic order mentioned ✅️

If OP collects Black templars its all but confirmed fellas

    9. The death head symbol that the Nazis used is visually different from the old Prussian one. It’s not hard to understand why one is okay and the other isn’t.

The iron cross is still technically on the table as an award that can be given to military personnel today, however, the government did not reinstate it but created a different medal, because the iron cross can only be given out during times of officially declared war.

The deaths head, yeah, thats a symbol of outright evil anymore.

    11. And Charlie Chaplin had a toothbrush mustache before Hitler did, what’s your point here?

    12. False-Discipline-640 on

Right but you’re not gonna find someone who has an Iron Cross tattoo because they’re a fan of the Prussian army during the Napoleonic Wars

Those might not be Nazi symbols, but they are used almost exclusively by Nazis and Nazi-adjacent people these days.

The Prussians symbols are irrelevant in today’s society, no one is talking about Prussian milltary culture of the 17th century in today’s society. The symbol symbolizes something else now…

As much as we’d love to wear Prussian Hussar cosplay to go grocery shopping, you just CANT. Because the people who thought that shit was cool (and not associated with nazism) are DEAD, and have been for some 100 years…

    15. If i see a bald white dude eith totenkopf and iron cross tattoos generally speaking its safe to guess that he’s not a 19th century Prussian history buffs. Generally can rule that out real easy.

A technically accurate but practically pointless meme.

Nazis are some of the most unoriginal scumbags who ever got the time of day.

The Swastika, the Wolfsangel, the Iron Cross, the Totenkopf, the German Eagle and others… appropriated, twisted and rebranded for their own demented and murderous use.
