I’ve been to a POTUS event at the WH. SSI etc info 24 hours before – correct. metal detectors and dog sniffing – correct. Cavity search – yeah no dude.
Odd to see the security detail pointing their guns yet not one had their finger on the trigger but their trigger/index finger on the barrel. Did I miss something here? Every one of them in the photos I’ve seen. I found it very odd.

The most suspect thing to me is the fact that there is a guy on stage filming the entire thing, and the Secret Service doesn’t even pay the guy any attention. If there is an active threat to the safety of the President and Vice President, it’s their job to **CLEAR THE FUCKING AREA**. Nobody so much as acknowledges the guy, much less removes him from the area. In a *real* situation, there would be agents dragging the President and Vice President away to a safe area, as well as agents clearing all potential threats (any and all unknown individuals) from the immediate area. These guys just stormed in with guns out and just acted like, “Oh, that’s just the camera guy, he’s cool.”
