    1. Context: the House of Representatives passed a resolution in 1836(the gag rule) expressly forbidding its legislators from discussing slavery. This acts biggest hater was Adams, former president and current representative, who used parliamentary tricks, petitions, and other means to fight this rule for 8 straight years until it was repealed. Way to go, Johnny 🔥🔥🔥🤙
