To all the people insisting we should automatically forgive and forget to anyone willing to admit they made a mistake in supporting trump: this woman is exactly why that’s a bad idea. She clearly hasn’t learned anything.
She thinks her support was an unfortunate accident that could just as easily happen to anyone instead of an active choice to not recognize who and what this man is and has been since at least 2016. And she’ll vote for the next Republican in 2028 who says the exact same things and blames the exact same scapegoats.

That is a tasty burn.

I actually had someone a while back, I’d commented on how terrible a leader Hitler was, and it got the comment, “Would you have been better? Don’t criticise him if you’ve never been one. (I’m not defending Hitler).”
Yes, they actually said that last part…

Why does this twitter account get so much attention lately?
The engagement they are getting off this is their goal. MAGA social media “personalities” don’t care about being right, don’t care about the facts. If they did they wouldn’t be MAGA.
They care about the attention and engagement their posts drive.
Personally I don’t care if this person running the account is switching sides or not. This all seems so performative.
Legit perfect lib bait making this “face turn” in the manner they are.

Telling people to “sit down” is not exactly the language of contrite amends. It’s the language of arrogance and feeling entitled to a pass for one’s transgressions.

It isn’t just Iran. Hundreds of thousands have already died due to usaid cuts, mostly children. There is blood on their hands.

Having regret when it *finally* has some affect on you doesn’t make you any less stupid or any less likely to make the same decisions in the future.
It just makes you a narcissist.
And yet, MAGA can never break apart unless we allow people to leave it without jumping straight down their throat
I knowingly stuck my hand directly into boiling water. What, you never made a mistake?
