Overrated is a stretch, she’s just very hyped right now so people expect more than what she’s actually shown so far.
I’ve only seen her, but never seen her acting though. So yeah people like me are responsible for her overratedness.

She’s an OK actress with beautiful looks and big breasts who is willing to do nudity. That gets you far in Hollywood.

I think y’all crazy mad and actually there are more haters than lovers of her. She is not a bad actress and beautiful woman.
She is, her acting is bad in most of her roles, she was great in the Handmaids Tale imo, even in Once Upon In Hollywood. Those were supporting roles, in Euphoria S1 she was Ok as well, but main roles aren’t good for her. Once again it’s personal opinion.

The Gundam sub’s a bit distraught she’s going to be in the live action (or at least western) Gundam movie and point to a series of her appearing in movies that end up being flops so it doesn’t seem like it’s that hot a take

I only recently started Euphoria and was so surprised when I saw Sydney Sweeney act. She got all of these movie deals but not once has she showcased good acting in that series.

She’s ok. she’s like the wonder bread of women. Basic white dudes slobber over her because she’s white, blonde, and has tits. She seems like a talented enough actress, but she only does basic slop movie roles, and the whole focus on her looks takes away from whatever real talent she may have. Idk her as a person, maybe she’s great, maybe she’s an asshole. Obviously she’s an attractive woman, however, her whole vibe/persona is attractive in a way that feels unattractive.
To me it feels like since she did that jeans ad there’s been a disproportionate amount of hate towards her. It feels like every reddit comment section is just people weirdly hating on her and acting passive aggressively about how she’s not a good actress and she’s not pretty. Seems weird to me.
