The day I realized you can add whatever topings you want to a frozen pizza, is a day that changed my life.

Was it actually better, or did it just look better?

I do this all the time, add pepperoni, ham and bacon. Put some more cheese over it.

That looks super tasty with the crispy pepperoni.

To those who dont know, you can slap a bunch of pepperoni in the oven and eat it, its not illegal, you don’t need a frozen pizza.

I’m more impressed a frozen pizza, even without the extra pepperoni, came out that nicely.

I never raw dog frozen pizzas. Even if the toppings are plentiful out the box, a little seasoning sprinkle and parm after it bakes makes it way better

Fine chop some onions and peppers. Turns a $5 pizza into a damn good meal or two on a budget
Puzzleheaded-Zone-55 on
I always add extra cheese and black olives.

A little olive oil, some fresh spinach, garlic, salami, Parmesan, etc., all can take shitty frozen pizza up several notches.

Adding spices/herbs also helps. I do ground pepper, some italian herb mix, garlic salt, and occasionally paprika.

I also tend to sprinkle some Italian Seasoning on as well for a little flavor boost.

I never eat a frozen pizza “as is”. Always add a few ingredients like cheese, pepperoni or ham, onions or mushrooms… it makes a “meh” pizza into an “acceptable” pizza.

Actually, Red baron is pretty good for frozen pizza.
Krytan on
Yep, I just use frozen pizzas as a base. Add additional pepperoni, maybe some cheese, diced peppers, some spices, good to go.

I do this every time. I add pepperoni and cheese because the default configuration is terrible.

You went from ‘cardboard with suggestions of cheese’ to an actual gourmet experience for less than the cost of a gumdrop. Gordon Ramsay is shaking.

I always add ground sausage, thin slice bell pepper and onion, garlic, olive slices, mushrooms, wet and shredded mozzarella. Works better with the Costco ready pizza. Sometimes too much stuff makes the bottom center soggy on the regular frozen pizzas.

Tombstone pepperoni base add jalapeños minced garlic if you have type of sausage in your fridge and boom drizzle sriracha and pepper flakes and your good to go shit i usually have some fresh mozzarella man and your golden

I always do the same. The amount of pepperoni included is laughable and upsetting

The best frozen pizza you can buy is Home Run Inn. Trust me, no joke it’s better than a lot of pizzerias

I have a 13-inch cook stone and a pellet grill. I take a small frozen pizza, add a little extra meat, sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic and set the cook stone on the grill for about 10 minutes. A poor man’s wood-fired pizza. Delish!

In Tesco, the plain base is expensive than frozen pizza. I always do this.

now splurge and get some decent mozzarella that isn’t plastic, and you’ll really be amazed!

This is the way, frozen pizzas are just a base, I like to throw on mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, basil, extra cheese like parm or mozz, red pepper flakes, oregeno, whatever I’ve got on hand to turn it into an edible pizza. So i like pizza like freshetta brick oven pizzas when they are on sale 2 for one, 4 bucks for the base and then dress it up with whatever I have around.

Brush some olive oil on the crust before you throw it in the oven. Then you’re really in business.

My hack is the Great Value rising crust pizza. Extra cheese, extra pepperoni and a sprinkle of that “everything but the pizza” spice. Actually really good.

That is so true. I do it too the time.

I like to get the frozen cheese pizzas and then I add my own veggies. Did pretty thorough study of frozen cheese pizzas so I have my favorite brands. Totally ups the game.

Lemme introduce you to your next upgrade:
Go to the deli counter and ask them to slice sandwich pepperoni as thin as possible right before it starts to tear. Like translucent thin.
Get 1/4th of a pound.
Slap about 6 of those things on a pizza.
I can’t explain it in terms words could describe: *crispy pepperoni rosettes* is about as close as I can get.

The red baron 3cheese has been a lifesaver. I have Alpha-gal syndrome and therefore can’t eat red meat. I have been adding turkey kielbasa cut thin like pepp and fajita chicken meat with some cheese and sauce added and it’s really good

Shredding cheese on top also makes it better
