Honestly, rejection letter has turned into something special as ghosting becomes common in the job market.

After the secondary interview I was told, “We’ll be sending a letter out to everyone that hasn’t been selected. Those who are selected, will be notified via telephone.”

I was the only applicant that didn’t get a letter and only found out I was rejected when a friend that knew the hiring manager told me they were sorry I didn’t get hired. I’ve applied to other agencies for the same position and I never hear back – despite having all the prerequisites and relevant job experience.

I feel like a massive amount of the jobs that are posted online are done so with a specific person in mind already, which is why they do shit like this.

If you get a rejection letter within 6 months that feels fast. Companies are just bloated with ghost jobs they never intend to fill in the first place.

I got pretty far with FAANG1 and they keep telling me to keep waiting for next steps. Like months. Meanwhile FAANG2 rejected me the day after I applied and that honestly felt good – like they had *some* professional courtesy or could at least *pretend* to respect my time a little.
