I don’t think people really understand how deep that Kendrick beef was. Drake got beat by a better rapper, of course but that’s not all. Alot of people that he considered friends betrayed him, in his eyes. He found out extremely quickly that a lot of the people he bonded with, helped get a Jumpstart in the industry, helped make money, really didn’t give a shit about and secretly hated him. It actually makes perfect sense for him to say that wasn’t his year cause he’s an emotional guy and that year was devastating emotionally. He is doing the absolute “scorned girlfriend” most though.
