Liberal countries routinely invade and overturn all of the democratically elected socialist countries, when intervention by the extrajudicial adventurist agencies (CIA, DGSE, etc) fails. Currently, and for all of the previous century, most of the world’s dictatorships are currently propped up by western powers.
When a “tankie” country intervenes with a neighbor, it tends to be historically notable, and it generally doesn’t involve mass terrorism such as bombing hospitals, schools, or other civilian infrastructure. It’s largely been confined to military and political targets. Liberal countries have made that their S.O.P., whereas in WWII, that sort of thing was only countenanced with assurances to the public that it was only to degrade hostile industrial capacity to generate war machines for navies, armies and air forces, and bring about a civil resolution more quickly.

Marxism at it’s core is about creating a Classless Society, in such a society there is obviously no “Ruling Class”, none of these post-communist countries have ever actually achieved this, instead the Ruling Class took advantage of growing Socialist and Communist sentiments in order to stay in power, the reason Communism “doesn’t work” is because greedy assholes undermined everything that it stands for and now are blaming the ideology itself instead of admitting that they’re the problem
Leftists also aren’t praising murderers, I have no idea where you got that idea from, but most of us think people like Joseph Stalin were monsters, monsters who took advantage of an ideology they never truly believed in or understood for their own benefit, which is precisely the opposite of what Marxism stands for
