    1. If I worked there, I’d sneak in a time or two and abscond with the second one (at least) until he started getting pissy. Just a small bit of spite.

As an aside, I can’t identify the first one (second is a V2).

    2. “Once the rockets are up, who cares where they come down?
That’s not my department!” says Wernher von Braun

V2: The weapon that killed more people making it than using it did.

Of course, most of the people making it were slaves, so who cares, right? /s

    3. I like the Saturn V in this photo. It was so massive that even at that small a scale it didn’t fit and they had to put a hole in the ceiling.

    4. V2s did a lot of science work after the war, so its fair that it shows up on that list of rockets.

    5. Word on the street is, if you cranked the 3rd rocket from the right, it revealed a secret room with a bunch of 3rd Reich paraphernalia.

There is a deli near me where one of the former owners had a picture of him with Wernher Von Braun

I have questions on how he got that but apparently he retired long ago

You can still see V2s at Marshall/Redstone Arsenal. You can even look into the original test bunker and see the test stand that was used at the time. (You need a CAC card valid for the base, or an invitation from an organization there to get in.)

I am from Huntsville, AL and he is very popular here in town. Our town convention center is called the Von Braun Center.
