It just came in one day off the street and never left. The employees even took it to the vet for a checkup and shots and now it just hangs out all day near the registers.

Free and pesticide free rodent control, also doubles as a therapy cat.
We can learn a lot from other countries who have stray cats.

I was shopping at a Lowe’s in the garden center (bags of seeds!) and saw several mice running around freely. They needed a kitty.

I think every retail business should have an emotional support pet for the employees.
Yes I work in retail.

Worse management.
Less you worked the more they liked you.

My opinion of any store goes up 10 points if they have a cat.
…except that one antique store. *So* much glass just *waiting* for an accident…
My opinion of that one only went up 5 points.

The mildly interesting: Dubai chocolate?

There’s virtually no food at Lowe’s and the cat decides to lay there of all places lmao

I tried to get the chocolate and he hissed at me and swiped at me and it was then that I decided that I didn’t need the chocolate

The Lowe’s I worked at had so many mice/rats (idk the difference tbh), they could have *used* a cat

I would invite you to learn about Francine, the Richmond Lowes cat who accidentally went to their NC distribution warehouse for a while. Our governor had to get involved.

As long as they don’t sell food, every large warehouse type store like Lowe’s and Home Depot should have a cat or 2. There’s gotta be some rodents in there that we don’t usually see. Especially in the outside garden area.

I would not shop at a hardware store that did not have a resident cat.

It might help with the birds. A lot of the high-ceiling warehouse stores have birds in them.

I went to a lumber yard last weekend that had this really gruff looking cat, nice thick muscular fella. It came over to me meowing when I called it, so I bent down and scratched it’s side and it felt like it was made it leather and wire. Fucking nice kitty right there.
