This thinking needs to be more commonplace.
I think there’s still this thinking, even in democracies, to equate leadership with rulers.
Leadership should be seen as serving a society; instead, people mistake these people in government for being our betters.
And people in government lean into that shit with pompous titles and fancy suits. I’d love for more people to tell political leaders to Go Fuck Themselves.
That would be frowned upon for being profane and indecorous.
But I think it’s necessary. High ranking people in government often need humbling. They need to be reminded that they are servants, not rulers

To some degree yes. In practical terms, it would be highly beneficial to have eyes on their donors.
