The problem isn’t just republican voters are ok with corruption. The problem is most Republicans don’t look for information past their own nose. They just see republican tag and chooses that with no further thought. The ones that do look beyond their nose a little bit doesn’t extend it farther than the news organization they grew up with.
Im sure it happens to dems as well, but it feels so much more significant of a problem when the ruling party just lets it slide as openly as it is currently.

Major media outlets are treating it with the same urgency as a story on the latest fashion trends. Nothing substantial is happening in the courts to combat it. It is a mainstream American position until the people turn against it like they’re starting to turn against Israel.

I think one of the biggest issues in Joe Biden’s term was that they didn’t go after all the stuff that happened with the previous administration. Just to keep the peace and turn a new page or whatever.
Democrats were angry and disillusioned by it. Republicans grew bold at the lack of consequences. And here we are now.

MAGA’s real religion is worship of capitalism and wealth accumulation. This is why they loved Trump in the first place, 10 years ago on the escalator. Or even before as fans of his reality show, also about capitalism and wealth accumulation. MAGA is also about strict hierarchy.
