People give the brits a lot of grief for their museums, but at least the shit is still there.

Emissions and pollution will destabilize the planet’s stable climate and get us faster to our end goal: nightmarish dystopia.
Why dystopia, I hear you ask. Because the genuine fucking sociopaths want us to decline to savages so that the fascist inbred can rule for eternity.
Any questions?

This has been a long ass historical trend, old walls taken apart for their bricks, fences ripped up for the metal. this is just what we know, thousands of years of history is gone and eventually no one will know it existed unless we preserve it.

The Immerath church wasn’t actually medieval, but a neo-romanesque building from the late 19th century. Still, the reason it was destroyed absolutely sucks ass.
It’s so fucked up what the coal industry in Germany is allowed to do to people. Whole communities are forced to abandon their hometowns and watch them get bulldozed just because a corporation wants the coal underneath. Absolute madness.

At least in the USA things get dozed for a lot reasons including new regulations for things like fire safety or accessibility; and, I might not mind that too terribly bad despite the complete loss of a lot of history but we always replace things with shitty concrete boxes lined with drywall and its just so *fucking boring.* Then we rip up the streets and trees to slap down a bunch of stroads to finish it off for the perfect soul-crushing urban experience.

They need to erase the old world so we won’t remember a time when we weren’t slaves.

Stony Brook Bridge in Princeton, NJ was in need of renovation a few years back. The county threw a ton of money and time at restoring it but I have to wonder if the people who originally used the bridge would be happy that its still around or confused why that crummy old bridge wasn’t replaced by modern building standards.

It is amazing how thousands of years of history can be erased in a single afternoon for no reason.
Room for AI data center.
**We survived thousands of years just to be taken out by a ‘need for more parking space**
Does anyone else see a duck?
