I’ve ordered a few slightly frivolous things I’ve been putting off, one from overseas, just because I have a feeling we’re on the edge of things getting a bunch worse and I’ll either not be able to afford this stuff because the price went up too much for something I really don’t need or my job went away and I can’t afford anything at all. Or both.
I’m a mechanic for Porsche so I’m insulated a bit but if people aren’t driving, I’m not going to be getting paid to stand around and do nothing at work for long.
I already had to live and work through the ‘08 mess and then Covid so maybe only one or two more “once in a lifetime” crisis and I can finally retire (fall over dead in my work bay).
