Made in Abyss could really have been a manga I enjoyed if there wasn’t litteral pedo content since the first tome.
Seeing this, even the gore and moral trauma seem kinda “forced” in some way I have trouble explaining.

It’s such a shame. I know the series couldn’t come from anybody’s head but him, but I so wish we could just have the same series with a different author. The sus stuff just sours it so much it makes it so that you can’t recommend it to anybody, and it’s worse because he’s so shameless about it. Other authors, at least try to hide their weird fetishes. He will literally make his quad amputee nub fetish a main point of the story.
