English: “Dear valued passenger, please kindly wait here.”
      dutch: “wait here, cunt.”

    2. “Oi, Oi, Oi! Kunt, Kunt, Kunt!”: Kimiko on Billy Butchers conversation skills, “The Boys” ^_^

    3. “There are only two things I can’t stand in this world: People who are intolerant of other people’s cultures, and the Dutch.”

The Dutch text is saying it’s optional to wait here. So that’s a slightly more polite version. Just because it doesn’t have the word please in it doesn’t mean it’s rude.

Edit: because I am Dutch I missed the obvious joke of “kunt” which just means can. I get it now.

    5. Dutchie here. We normally don’t like excessive politeness, since we could take this as “fake”. We like being short and direct, not wasting any time. No real Dutchie would be offended by this sign.

I prefer this English over the ‘you can wait here’.

I don’t need your permission to stand here.

    7. “Please photograph me from my nicest side”

“Fotografeer mij vanaf mijn moist cunt”

    8. There are 2 things I hate. People that intolerable of other peoples cultures.

      And the Dutch

this is so blunt it’s kinda funny 😭 it reminds me of traveling with my ex because he had zero patience in airports and would get annoyed at signs like this like they were personally targeting him… meanwhile I’d just be standing there trying to stay calm pretending I wasn’t stressed too lol

The more Dutch I see written down the more I’m convinced it’s just a drunk person trying to write in English.

This really isn’t helping the cause.

Strange thing is that the English text is so much larger. Do they expect that foreigners who need assistance also lost their glasses?

The Dutch text could even be much shorter: “Wacht hier voor hulp.”
