Well, he could hardly put his name to upholding the constitution, could he!

    2. I can’t tell if those are constant boo’s in the background or if they’re screaming boo-urns

    3. Is he really this dumb, or was this a 200 IQ tactical move so if he is ever held in court for promising to defend the constitution, he can simply say, I never said Donald Trump would do that…

    4. Hobbits_can_fly on

I’m mean if anything it proves that he can in fact read. Still dumb as bag of orange rocks.

    5. I have deep hopes we get a full documentary about all of his failures und ridiculous moments after he is gone. This will be legen… (wait for it) … dary. There will be people in the future unable to believe this has truly happened

      Mariano Rajoy vibes. 😀 😀 😀

In Spain our last Prime Minister once read a paper saying “end of the quote” (fin de la cita) everytime because he had written it in the paper.

He said it 10 f+++ng times

Then, all the other politicians than talk in the Senate made fun of him repeating “fin de la cita” many times.

He was not even old, just stupid. His stupid sentences and mistakes are still a joke in Spain.

Nah. He’s just playing 4d chess.

Now he doesn’t actually have to follow anything he solemnly swore to do.

    8. Free-Heals-Here on

Well if he used his name then he would be lying, at least this way he can deny it.

Fuck this half-whit rapist but there’s really no reason to strip context to make him look stupid. He just is stupid.

He is administering the oath of enlistment to service members.

He’s reciting this so they repeat after him, like a wedding.

I (your name), do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic and I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice, so help me God

    10. As dumb as he sounds, and I can’t believe I’m the one having to defend this, this is how swearing the oath goes when there are multiple people at the ceremony. Trump wasn’t taking the oath, but he was giving it to a group of military personnel who were re-upping. You can’t do it with each individual, so you do it with “say your name” or something similar. I hope I never have to defend Trump ever again because now I feel sick.

    11. Thank god US in not having the Olympic games any time soon. He would start the opening ceremony by reading the olympic rings first. ”OOO, OO”

I hate Trump, but it should have said this in this context, it was an oat for service members. Maybe you’re the dumb one.

    13. RaygeMunstir on

Who knows, he could have just said that to dodge the oath, but then again I don’t think he’s smart enough to think that

My favorite facepalms are OP facepalms.

When you’re swearing in a bunch of military enlistees, you can exactly have them all say YOUR name, it has to be theirs, hence “state your name”

    15. No, he was reading in some military individuals where the troops were being sworn in. They were literally supposed to say their name.

      Let’s stick to reality.

I don’t like the guy but this is not it.

    16. Lucid_Insanity on

He did that on purpose so he can deny he ever agreed to upholding the constitution

    17. Adding “and” before “state your name” is the only technical issue here, sadly.

The serious issue is THAT DRAFT DODGING SHIT is administering an oath of service.

    18. There is an overwhelming amount of internet content of the orange being the epitome of stupid, so let’s not bother using videos out of context. He was reading this out for someone to recite back, not taking an oath himself

    19. His lawyers literally went to court to argue he wasn’t beholden to the oath of office.

Not this time. The last time. And people voted to put him back into power anyway.

I thought those were instructions to the group he was swearing in? How was that wrong? (I despise the orange buffoon but I save my ire for the real shit.)
