My grandparents were at a dinner party some time in the late 40s in Oklahoma. All of a sudden, the hosts’ 10 year old son came down the steps wearing his father’s Klan hood and robe.
My grandmother said all conversations stopped, and everyone was so embarrassed that they didn’t know where to look. My grandparents ended their association with the hosts right afterwards…
