Scanned a bunch of old photos some time back and some are pretty cool and fit here I think so thought I might share a few on and off that I found particularly interesting.

Dad got drafted at 18 so that's him heading off to Vietnam in the final photo.

He served one tour as a base radio operator at Lai KhĂȘ Base Camp. Not a time he spoke about much but when I was nearing the end of High School I decided I wanted to write a paper about his time there and he sat down and told me about his time there for a couple of hours. Lost the paper I wrote but I remember many of the stories.

I can't imagine being that age and being put into that sort of situation.

People loved to ask him ethnicity which always drove him crazy. He was half Chippewa/Ojibway and half "French" though we now know the white side was more of a mix.

In Vietnam his nickname was Pierre because of the French.
