The Hospices de Beaune, in France, was founded in 1443 CE by Nicolas Rolin, chancellor of Burgundy, as a hospital for the poor. The roofs are covered with flat, polychrome glazed tiles with diamond-shaped designs [1300×2026]

      I’ve been! The whole town is fabulous. The hospice is a fantastic testament to people attempting to make the world a better place.
