      I’m picturing two men called Blondinus and Tuconius. One wears the collar in an elaborate scheme to steal many solidi from greedy slave owner, Zoninus.

      There was that poor girl in the brothel in Pompeji, she was chained to the wall with the collar, because she had tried to escape before. When the disaster hit, she had no chance and was just left behind.
