Forklifts with “omni-wheels” can drive sideways, rendering impressive skills like this redundant.

Why dont they just make the opening big enough for their longest peice?
When working at home depot this shit used to drive me mad.

Damn, that operator is as smart as that dachshund who loves to carry around super-long sticks

I mean he’s got some impressive skills, but you’re not supposed to do that imho.Β

    5. I’m impressed. I used to operate a forklift and I would have declined the assignment.

    6. I saw a video of a bunch of ants doing this on Reddit

(What they were doing on Reddit, I have no idea)

    7. That almost looks like he’s done that before.

I usually tell people not to travel with a load in the air, but I might make an exception for this guy.

Tbh, idk the exact policy on how to handle items that are too wide, but it’s a big no no to drive around with the load raised for no reason. If the load is too heavy, it can tip the forklift, and it’s just generally safer to not have things raised high in the air for no reason.

    9. No idea why he kept the load elevated so high. Looks like he had some stuff to clear inside, but he could have still been a few feet lower to start and basically gone down to ground level once he was halfway out the door. Always carry your load as low as possible.

I worked on a plane that had a wingspan a couple inches wider than the door of the hanger we built it in. Had to do something like this to get it out.

Ah the long-shit-shuffle – been a while since I’ve had to do things like that, but usually it was loading things into trailers

    12. I had to do something similar to move a long beam of wood into a shed where the beam was longer than the door was wider.

Not as impressive as this guy though.
