The BBC’s show Merlin has occasional episodes where the monarchy is completely compromised, like one time the king was enchanted to be in love with a troll or something. Or that Minions movie where the villain steals the crown and becomes queen. And I think something similar in Doctor Who.
And I always thought it was weird the way courtiers and servants and soldiers and news announcers managed to act somewhat normal. But damn, here we are, president looks like a pig, acts like a pig, talks like a pig…
