Looking back at the dominoes, Trump was set in motion by Bush. Bush was set in motion by Gingrich. Gingrich got his momentum from Reagan. Reagan wouldn’t have risen without Barry Goldwater.

There’s more in the chain we can connect, but I’d be content stopping there, as that’s when the Republican party started becoming the hardline conservative religion appropriating farce it is today.

The political demand was/is there, so even without trump, you’d get someone in power with similar ideals.

I’d probably pick something like Breivik. Since if he is removed, it is unlikely that someone would have taken his place as mass murderer.

    3. You know, as much as he sucks, this kind of thought experiment is pointless. There is no way to know how the world would be changed from the removal of a single person. For all we know, a lack of Hitler or trump or insert evil person here would have resulted in total annihilation of the planet. Could have ended up that we developed human interplanetary travel. Could be that a virus like covid killed the entire human race.

There’s no way to know about what ifs.

    4. This is the most bot post I’ve ever seen.

I’m not even American, but why would you have to take this to show how unpopular trump is?

Seriously, do not stoop to this level. It’s embarrassing

I think he might genuinely be the worst person to have ever existed.

And I know that sounds hyperbolic, but I dont mean :
      – he caused the most damage/evil
      Or
      – hes murdered the most people
      Or
      Any other such metric..

What i mean is, he is one of the few people with literally 0 redeeming or good qualities

      – stupid
      – vain/narcissistic
      – ugly
      – cruel
      – childish
      – smelly
      – unprofessional
      – racist
      – misogynistic
      – homophobic
      – temper
      – incompetent
      – incontinent
      – sexual assaulter / rapist
      – pedophile
      – (likely) murderer
      – slumlord
      – greedy
      – trashy
      – hates animals
      – hates the environment
      – no moral center, will be on whichever team gives him money and power
      – cowardly
      – a bully
      – bad breath (this one im just assuming is true)
      – fake piousness
      – bad businessman, sells sham products, breaks contracts
      – dishonest / a flagrant liar
      – unfaithful in business partnerships
      – unfaithful in marriage
      – a hypocrite
      – domestic abuser
      – bad investor
      – (likely) incest
      – uses Twitter
      – nepo baby
      – bad student
      – socially inept
      – prideful, inability to take a joke or be humble
      – two faced, throws anyone under the bus even sometimes for no reason
      – selfish

Like frankly the list is ridiculous. Even someone like Ted Bundy you could at least say was charismatic maybe? Hitler cared about animals? Like my point is not that hes done the most damage, but that i literally cant think of a single positive trait you could ascribe to him. Its comical. Let me know if i missed any lol

    6. I’d still go with Hitler. He was an evil fuck, *and* he’s the inspiration for other evil fucks like Trump.

    7. Adding Thomas Midgley, just to get some counterweigh to “politician”-bashing.

There are people who killed close as many people as these dictators just for profit.

    8. Epstein or Bannon. They were the main driving force behind the change in the republican party over the last 30 years. Without their ideas and money Trump would just be a mediocre tv host.

Also all the kid rape and murders.

    9. Most people don’t even know how close we were to actually having this world. Trump’s father had a horrible case of the flu during the pandemic of 1918

lmao yeah classic larkin move, dude’s always getting himself into some wild stuff. can’t take him seriously at all

    11. And when he dies he’ll be hot competition for Hitler and Stalin in the living or dead stakes.

    12. It’s the immortal Hitler problem. See everyone wonders if you would kill Hitler with time travel or if you would go back in time and help him get into art school but nobody stops to really ask the question we don’t want to answer: if you kill Hitler as a baby does anything actually change? Does getting rid of the man actually stop the Holocaust?

Hitler didn’t create fascism, or transphobia, or anti semitism, or racism, or genocide, or any of the host or terrible things the Nazis did. Hell he didn’t even create German Fascism, he simply took advantage of preexisting conditions by telling people what they wanted to hear and securing a vast amount of power for himself by co-opting a political organization that already existed. Hitler as a man can be killed but Hitler as a concept? Not so much. The conditions were right for a charismatic strongman to take control so one did. In this timeline his name was Adolf Hitler, in another his could have been Heinrich Himmler.

So is it truly better if Trump was never born? Someone else would just take his place because he’s just taking advantage of a game that Republicans have been rigging for decades.
