There should be a blackboard in every newsroom outlining where reality is, noting potentials, dead ends and confirm truths and falsehoods. They should be developing theories and then abandoning them. They should find conclusions. Instead The New York Times is currently bragging about going through the Epstein files with two dozen reporters but with absolutely no conclusions whatsoever, despite this being six and a half years old. They are not making clear that these are suspect, they are not immediately outlining the cover up to get to here.
