I like how maya gods and supernatural beings had different aspects, in this case the bunny is an skeletal being, his ears made out of bone
those are not ‘bunny ears’ – they are reptilian/demons feeding or its brain or influencing his thoughts. Notice the proboscis extending from the one on the left. off to the left is another serpent creature.
The ears look like tennis rackets to me
