    1. You dont need concentration camps to *deport* people.

They are specifically designed to retain people.

      Just sayin

    2. Funny there’s NO MONEY for things Americans really need help with in their daily lives. Instead let’s tear down half the Whitehouse and centurion trees, deconstruct the Kennedy Center, put the tRump name on every federally funded or assisted building in Washington, give the Ultra rich a fat taxbreak while overtaxing the poor, eliminate every possible thing that could help working class citizens and children live safer, healthier and happier. What a shame that would be.

    3. It means that they have long term plans to need lots of places to warehouse people. Can’t find the humor in that. Can’t help but worry about making people disappear so easy for the government. If we build it we will use it.

    4. Am I the only one you thinks these aren’t going to be just for immigrants? We’ve departed more people than Trump currently is and didn’t need more detention centers. I’ve just got a bad feeling that they will be for “enemies of the state” or some crazy shit.

They are buying them off their Russian buddies for 5 times more than they bought them for last year. All this just out in the open, almost like they don’t think they will ever get caught.

That means they only have 44.6 billion dollars left for camps out of their 45 billion for camps. What are they gonna do now???

    7. Do they not realize that they are spending more money to jail these people on top of the money they are losing from the impact their deportations are having on the economy? This entire shitshow will be a net loss for this country.

    8. Forensic accounting is going to be a very needed profession in the next 3 years.

Every ice agent who collected a cheque will be found.

    9. how big does a warehouse have to be to cost 100 million dollars

am i the only one who thinks this is massive fraud? like some kickback scheme to political donors?

    10. Let me guess: all these warehouses sold far over price and before belonged to somebody connected to Trump in blood or donations

    11. Obviously need to check who the land was purchased from and what private firms are providing the resource, security, build out etc. Ill bet we won’t be surprised.

    12. They’re out here playing Monopoly with people’s lives while the rest of are just trying to pay rent.

It’s money laundering. A woman on Substack posted about it and it was posted here this week. I can’t recall the details at the moment. She runs down what these places were bought for recently and then sold for at exorbitant prices.

What I don’t understand is if she was able to do that, what the hell is Congress doing?

fr honestly, it’s like they’re setting up a game board instead of solving real issues smh

Something important to note about all this is that ICE is paying millions of dollars above asking when buying these properties as well. Some 30 – 50% above asking. The people who own these warehouses are making out like bandits.

    16. Um… Who is selling these warehouses and what warehouse is worth hundreds of millions of dollars? There is a word for this type of criminal activity.
