April: Scottish Heritage Month
May: Jewish American Heritage Month
June: Russian Heritage Month

October: Italian Heritage Month, Polish American Month, German Heritage Month
There’s a few others depending on where you live and how specific to your heritage you wanna get. So anyone who complains about Black History month can shut the fuck up and open a book

I just have to laugh at this. I went to a Christian school. I got frustrated because we did American history at least four years of my 7 between 6th grade and 12th. It got to the point I slept through weeks of history because it the first few weeks were always Boston massacre, Lexington Concord, valley forge then early presidents. Then I could take another few maps when we got to Sumter, bull run, Gettysburg etc.
It was honestly fascinating how we studied this so often before I set about educating myself on history I hadn’t been taught I was exhausted with how often we would start with the revolution and then just “run out of time” before we got to the more morally murky wars like vietnam and the Persian Gulf
We were taught a deliberately white centrist and by omission, supremacist version of history with a brief pause to study black history when black history month came.

Every month is white history month, including black history month. Because white history is so intertwined with everyone’s history, you can’t talk about anyone’s history with out talking about the whites showing up and doing THINGS.

There should be a white history month. It can go through all the terrible shit we did to the indigenous peoples around the world. It can talk about the slave trade. It can talk about the rape of resources in “undeveloped” countries.
Maybe then there wouldn’t be so many fucking idiots in this country.
