But sure do they not have to see the nurse first and then wait in the waiting room for 6 hours before this interaction happensā¦.or did we just get the last 30 seconds of this story?

It’s called a nurses elbow. Relatively common and super easy to correct or fix.

Love that, worldwide, the common method of treating a kid as painless as possible is to do it so quickly that the child is still buffering after it’s already done

My nephew dislocated his elbow too when he was around 5 or 6. He was screaming bloody murder and my sister called his doctor who had no appointments available and begged him to squeeze her son in because he was in so much pain. Once they got to the doctorās office, my brother in law was taking him out of the car seat and somehow pushed his elbow back into place. When they went in to the see the doctor, my nephew was like, āoh my arm feels much better, lookā and then he lifted his arm and swung it about . My sister apologized to the doctor and swore he couldnāt move it until a few minutes ago and he was screaming everytime anyone touched it. Doctor just laughed and said it happens quite often.

That’s how they do it. Was done for/to my kid when he was little. The mixed blessing of railings. Did not fall down the steps, but did end up in the ER anyway.

Having had the misfortune of many dental procedures, Iāve found that some dentists are like this with numbing injections. The ham-fisted ones put you through agony getting their needle in the right spot. The skilled ones are already injecting the numbing agent by the time you feel the prick.

Nursemaid’s elbow is a benign dislocation common in toddlers. Happened to my daughter when she was 2, and after we loaded her in the car to take to an ortho, she reached for the ice cream we were bribing her with and fixed it herself.

In the US: That’ll be $6000 please. Oh and $400 for the prescription candy.

We had a South African doctor in our small town who came to all our rugby games because he was a rugby fanatic. He’d happily re-locate joints and stitch head wounds during the game so we didn’t miss bartime by going to hospital.
