The worst part about the government shut down is that nobody in the government is adversely affected. Only people who rely on government functions, like food stamps, to survive do.
Yes, government employees don’t get payed during the shutdown but they get back pay instead.
It’s so weird because if a company lays you off or puts you on furlough for cost cutting, you’re not getting paid for no work. So why exactly is the government being shut down then?
