    1. I was afraid they were reclassifying all military vessels as “trump boats” according to your title. Phew

    2. He is the epitome of what the rest of the world thinks the worst characteristics of Americans are.

Boasting for no purpose at all??? Yep, that’s one of them.

I know very very well that MOST Americans are far from those characteristics, but that is the perception.

It was, I believe, on the decline for a long time….he  blew it up to 11.

Can we impeach and remove him yet? When will enough be enough for Congress to pull their collective heads out of their collective asses?

    4. I’m not worried about the man bragging about destroying the world in a nuclear holocaust 150 times over. I’m worried about the man willing to do it just once. Let’s hope they are not the same man.

    5. Damn it! Who keeps telling him this stuff?? He certainly didn’t read about it. The whole world is terrified. The Orange goon thinks it is the coolest thing ever.

    6. so this old, unhealthy man with his rotting hand on the nuclear button is boasting he can destroy the world 150 times and no one is talking about using the 25th amendment?

    7. If you want evidence that Moscow is pulling Trumps strings– this is a good example.

      Moscow cannot track our submarines.

And we surround our Carriers with other assets to protect the Carriers.

And our Bombers are stealth. But they can time when they take off. We launch them all, they know something is coming.

And the world knows about our missile fields north of I-80 in the US.

They can’t track our submarines. Everything else they can counter. Not our subs.

We take money allocated for the navy, and put it into -surface- ships that can be tracked– huge win for Moscow.

They can track our surface fleet, they can track our Carriers, even if they are hard to hit, they know where our missile fields are, and they know where our bomber bases are and can track what assets we have in the air.

They have no idea where our submarines are.

A Trump ship that can be tracked by China or Russia can destroy the world many times over? Sure. But they can track it, and if crap hits the fan they are likely to hit a surface boat before it can launch. A submarine? They have no idea where it is or when it will strike.

Trump announcing surface ships as first strike weapons is out of Moscows playbook.

They are kinda scared of our bomber fleet. They are kind scared about or movable missiles in Germany and Europe. They are nervous about our missile fields. They are kinda scared at our carriers and their capability, especially with F-35s.

But they piss themselves over our subs.

Everything can be tracked– except for our subs.

Putin needs to pin an award on the Russian asset or Putin himself who whispered in Trumps ear: Take money for the Navy, and build big huge loud surface ships Russia and China can easily track. And put your name on it.

      Yes.

That is why nuclear armed ships can do. It isn’t really news.

And the US desperately need a large surface combatant and has for decades.

Maybe if we had bit cancelled the arsenal ships, the last cruiser design or several other plans, we wouldn’t have to listen to trump’s ramblings.

But we did, and now trump gets to be the one that is responsible for these big, beautiful ships.

So, Thanks Obama (and bush, and Biden, and Clinton, and Bush).

    9. Some context

“In an interview with Spanish-language broadcaster Univision, Trump stated, “I had the nuclear codes. If I wanted to, I could have destroyed the whole world—150 times over.”

He added that, despite having such power, he refrained from using it, emphasizing the importance of avoiding nuclear war.”

    10. *We have the nukes. I’m talking nuclear weapons people. Weapons of Mass Destruction. Mass. Large Mass. We could wipe them all out. One hundred and fifty times as many. That’s a great deal of manies…*

This boast is even scarier when when you add the idea that Donnie Shitshimself completely believes that he will survive a nuclear showdown and that all his money will still somehow make him a valuable commodity.

    12. remember when Iran was denied having nukes because it’s too dangerous to have such an unstable government access to mass destruction weapons?

      Well well, how the turntables…

We’re going to keep letting this asshole get away with things until we hit the point where he takes out the planet on his way out.

    14. Fun fact… We are, at any given moment in time, less than 15 minutes from a nuclear war that will end the planet, with most people dying in just minutes to hours. The president has at most, 6 minutes from when a nuke is launched (or suspected to have been launched) by an enemy country, to decide whether this happens. Russia also has nuclear capacity that will make the planet look like the game fallout.

I can’t confirm is 150X is the correct number, but our arsenal is capable of destroying the planet many times over.

Think about that… We are always minutes away from total global destruction, every minute of our lives. The decision, here in the US, lies with the president. Presidents generally do not want to know this, or grapple with that reality, so don’t know how our nuclear arsenal actually works, and ignore that they alone have this power. Our system, if activated, pretty much guarantees total nuclear war, we don’t launch just one missile if it is activated. There is no human on earth that, I believe, is competent enough to be given that much power and that decision to make.

Maybe, just maybe, the only president we’ve had that I might trust with this capability is Kennedy, and he showed us he was able to make the right decision.

There was at one point nukes always armed and in the air, and a shocking number of nukes have just been outright lost and seemingly not recovered.

Trump boasting isn’t the boast he thinks it is, but he is stupid enough to believe he could wield that as a negotiating tactic.

Exactly what you’d expect to hear from supposedly th most responsible and powerful position in the world. /s

    16. Ah, that’s like me saying I could set fire to the council office, though if I said that with real firm intention could that not get me in trouble ?
