Mortgage lender here. We have never had a housing availability problem. We have had a greed problem, houses are too expensive and people aren’t making enough to buy them. There are 3x more homes on the market right now that there are qualified buyers.

Around me, any immigrants in the area are squeezing 5-8 people in a one bedroom apartment while it’s almost always an older couple living in all the nice 6-bedroom houses and just happen to have a vacation house down south as well
