What I’ve seen about some government jobs is that they are salaried, relatively low paying, and there’s always a promise of OT pay for extra hours worked, which turns into a promise of comp time, which never materializes. Good on the assholes to end up getting treated as slaves for oppressing others.
How is a deportation officer “risking his life” for me? Masked thugs in riot gear terrorizing toddlers seems fairly physically safe (but morally kaput)
