I like to imagine the Beaver sauntering up to the office park, looking around at all the trees.
Finally they amble up to that one and simply shake their head to go “No.”
Then the work began.

“decorative tree” implies it’s artificial. This just looks like a tree.

To be honest, I’m not that upset. Little dudes are just trying to do their job and the stump makes a great story. If they keep destroying property then I understand having to relocate them. I have a couple walking sticks that end with beaver bites that I got from the dam that they build at my Grampy’s cabin every year. They’re not supposed to be doing it but we’re not going to evict them. Beavers are going to beav

On a real note, judging by all the conifers in the background this tree was selected because its deciduous and had less tannins in its bark so tastes better to the beavers. Beavers often clear cannot space of deciduous trees taking out the parent tree and essentially “farming” the suckers that grow from the stump using their bark as food for the winter. From a beavers perspective somebody just plopped a snack in an otherwise barren stretch of trees, they probably weren’t out to spite your planting.
