She doesn’t have a chance. Talarico is the only dem that might stand a chance in Texas. I like her, but we’ve gotta take the environment into consideration. She will inspire more people to turn out to vote against her for racist, and sexist reasons than she will inspire progressives to turn out to support her. It happened with Harris, and it’ll happen to her too.

Nothing against Crockett, but are the people who voted for Ted Cruz and Greg Abbott going to vote for a progressive black woman?

I wish her the best, but many Texans are racist AF. And this is the state that voted for Ted ‘When the going gets tough, I’m leaving’ Cruz.

    4. I likr Crockett just fine, but I’m not the average voter in Texas. I respect her a lot, but Talarico is the clear choice in this primary.

    5. While the majority of people are probably right that she won’t win any Republican voters, I do think she can really get out the Democrat voters, and if they show up in numbers, TX redistricting can backfire. So in that regard, I think her running could be great for improving statewide turnout for Dems, even if she individually has an uphill battle to win.
