…then when the interviewer asked her if she regretted any of her own past comments, MTG immediately got angry, and said the interviewer was attacking her with “accusations” and that wasn’t okay. MTG may have suggested Jews start wildfires, but this interviewer was being unacceptable by asking her how she felt about past comments.
Which is to say, MTG has not changed or learned anything. She’s doing the exact same narcissist playbook that she and Trump always have. In my view, MTG sincerely believed that Trump was going to help America and dedicated herself to his project. Sure, she had to become a target before realizing she’d been eating lies, but I think that if congress was full of sincere people like her (idiots or not) we’d be able to find common ground and pass laws rather than accomplish nothing as politicians play whichever game will help their career.
