The 2025 Japan Mobility Show came to Osaka this past weekend. This was one of the more interesting concept cars, considering the Toyota Corolla is a very popular model. It looks great, but I hope it’s not gonna be priced out of being an affordable simple A-to-B automobile.

The light bar is gonna be the signature look of the 2020’s, isn’t it?

Is it just me who thinks that cars are getting really ugly these days?

Unfortunately, with market trends being what they are, unless things drastically change, the “Corolla of the future” won’t be a sedan of reasonable height, but rather a jacked-up hatchback pretending to be an SUV*, which we already have in the form of the Corolla Cross.
*I say this notably hypocritically as someone who daily drives a subcompact “crossover SUV”, albeit, not as egregious as most.

It’s just a concept and just a hybrid.
