Seriously? Are they that valuable they had to manufacture a lock for it?

Weird, I would never buy a candle without a lid on. I want it all trapped in there from the factory.

Is it to stop you from lighting it in the store?

These aren’t even the ‘real’ Yankee candles, they’re that weird subpar “home inspiration” offering.

That security lock probably cost the store more to buy than the cost of the candle.

Locking up scented candles? I mean the time it takes to lock it up is worth more than the actual product.
I mean at that point… Your society is beyond saving. Just get off the island.

You can still steal the candle melt the wax and re pour it with a new wick…what a terrible product

I think that lock thing expands inside the ja. It doesn’t attach to the wick or anything. It just blocks the top of the jar and would be hard to get out with the key.

I just watched a police bodycam video about this where the suspects stole $4000 worth. Apparently they are a commonly stolen item:

I can for sure get that off
This really gets on my wick.
When I used to work at B&M, Yankee candles were the most stolen item apart from disposable capes (back then vapes weren’t behind counters)
Their candles need a wick lock, because they keep getting stolen, because they’re too expensive, because they’re wasting their money on wick locks.
wow that thing cost £10.50 !!
There was a small nuclear reactor attached to a steak I bought yesterday.
To be fair, Yankee candles are stupid expensive, lol.
It’s so funny because you can literally just melt the wax and pour it into another candle jar hahah
I have so many questions, but I’m not sure I want the answers.

Are people really stealing big glass candles?
