Sofia Loren hated Jayne Mansfield. My Mom Jayne is a 2025 HBO documentary directed by Mariska Hargitay, her daughter, and is brilliant. Watched it recently. It’s a very emotional ending.

It talks about her rivalries with these other contemporary actresses.

*Paramount had organized a party for me. All of cinema was there, it was incredible. And then comes in Jayne Mansfield, the last one to come. For me, that was when it got amazing. . . . She came right for my table. She knew everyone was watching. She sat down. And now, she was barely . . . Listen. Look at the picture. Where are my eyes? I’m staring at her nipples because I am afraid they are about to come onto my plate. In my face you can see the fear. I’m so frightened that everything in her dress is going to blow—BOOM!—and spill all over the table.*

    3. I have been watching SVU for the last 3 weeks and good lord her daughter stole her face. I can only hope the same for when i have a baby! I want a copy paste situation!

    4. Two bombshells …

Sofia has a forced smile while Jayne is stealing the show!

Girls, girls, you’re both beautiful 🥰

    5. TIL the lady in Law and Order (I watched a lot of this but only know them by their faces and character names, not by their real names) is named Mariska Hargitay and that her mom is actress Jayne Mansfield in the same era as Sophia Loren.

I said the second part because I don’t remember seeing any movie with Jayne Mansfield in it though it could just be my fault because I don’t usually read or remember actors’ names. I do remember Sophia Loren just because she seemed to be frequently on old show/movie reruns.

If this is what they call “freedom”, then I’ll stick with my mother’s version — class, dignity, and a brain.

I like thin and skiny girls but her face is so adorable, reminds me of 90s Pamela Anderson.
