The modern prosperity Gospel a lot of churches are about it man. It’s all it’s like you know I just I can’t even explain it because it’s just it’s. It’s so heretical it makes Mormons look normal.

As a Christian this saddens me, I’d be interested to see the denominations. The baby was prolly too old for the Catholics so that might be why

I always wondered if the conservative hatred of Islam was about their views on interest as exploitative. Can’t be having talk like that…

Fits the bill. Pretty much any time I see an American being cold blooded or hateful I automatically assume “that’s a Christian”.
Christianity as a structure is the exact opposite of what Christ taught. My theory is that the Christianity itself IS the anti-Christ.

If memory serves the ones that didnt help directly all (maybe nearly all?) directed her to local charities that they work with/support.
Ie: instead of each church running it’s own pantry they coordinate with other organizations to pool resources, which results in them being able to help more people.
In this light it makes sense that the religious institutions that primarily serve minorities would he handling themselves, as there are less organizations outside themselves to coordinate with in their areas, and their members likely face more barriers from those that do exist.
I hate the catholic church as much as, actually probably more than, the next guy. Let’s hit them for the things they actually fail at

We need a name for someone who actually follows the teachings of Christ. Cause these days it sure as hell isn’t Christian.

Our pastor regularly receives requests for help, sometimes he shares those with the church.
A young mother calls for help with her electric bill, he offers to pay it, just give him the address and he’ll call the power company to pay the outstanding bill. No, thanks, she just needs the cash to go pay it herself.
Young couple stuck in town and need gas money to get home for work. No problem, I’ll meet you at the station and put in my card for the gas. What’s that? You just need the cash to buy the gas yourself?
Young woman’s husband is abusive and didn’t buy the kids any presents, can the pastor please just give her the code to a Walmart gift card so she can go pick out gifts for them?
And it’s amazing how many of the callers have Nigeran accents too.

This makes sense, and I like this post.
But, how many mosques were asked, and how many buddhist temples were asked?
Just curious about the data
