“And everything changed when the British nation attacked.”

This is starting kind of slow.
Edit: Seriously, not the argument I thought would start. Silly me.

What the hell is “British history”.
Britain is about 300 years old.
EDIT: Clearly, subtlety isn’t working here so let’s just explain the point.
The claim being made here is that “Britain” has a distinct conceptualization of its own history which is somehow at odds with “everyone else”.
To any British person that is going to be fundamentally laughable.
“British history” does not exist. The whole era of history in which Great Britain is a unified country literally isn’t taught in British schools, not because it’s being covered up but because it is so controversial and heavily debated that noone can produce a curriculum.
Noone is butthurt or mad because you criticized the British empire. Most of us barely know it existed, and those who do probably agree with you.

This is just unfair. Okay we beat up a lot of people over the years, but I am 90% certain Britain never invaded Troy.

These memes are so strange, because speaking as someone who actually grew up in Britain we very much focus on the bad stuff we did.
For an example I spent years learning about Britains roll in the slave trade, yet was taught nothing about the UK’s role in ending it globally – which is what most other nations would focus on instead. I didn’t even hear about it until I left school.

Many of us are familiar with this in one way or another (especially in Latin America/ Ibero-America).

We taught the Americans the tech to properly make effective aircraft carriers, plus giving them an excuse to build a billion of the things, but you’re still pissed about the ancient stuff? We even screwed US with this one!
