If you don’t give men a constructive avenue to use the fire in their soul then they will use it to burn down the village

    2. I think the issue is more economic class vs age bracket.

Most boomers I know who actually own properties have children who are also doing well. And the children I know struggling also have parents who are struggling. A lot of their parents don’t own homes.

I always found that one statement such a joke “When boomers were young, they owned a house and put their kids through college!” But then the kids say they had to pay for college. Who paid for it?

It’s just different economic classes. The boomers who did well have kids doing well. It would be very, very unlikely to see a Boomer who owns multiple properties with a child working min wage and living in a shack.

Generational wealth is generational wealth — it passes down the line.

I just wish more people would stop looking at themselves being poor and comparing it to rich boomers. Compare yourself to old boomers or compare yourself to rich kids and then complain about those problems.

Let me tell you, there are plenty of older people who just take it as revenge. I talk to a lot of people and the most just flex with their money to anger the younger generations. Wonder if they also laugh when their palaces are overrun by the poor who want their shit back.

    4. My mother in law who has literally never had a job in her 60 years of life: “nobody wants to work anymore” 😒

    5. You probably shouldn’t take a 50-year mortgage even if it’s offered to you. A 30-year mortgage didn’t even become popular until the 80s, and even then, it’s a risky proposition if you have unstable income.

    6. They’ll just increase the house prices again to meet the increased demand.

It’s a volume and bureaucracy issue.

    7. The generation that broke the generation contract cries when following generations don’t want to follow it anymore. Got it

    8. The boomers in the Fed really destroyed the spending power of the younger generations purely because they wanted to

If you’re someone thinking of taking a 50 year mortgage, you’re better off just renting. a 50 year mortgage is medieval serf living for the 21st Century, and Serfs didn’t do all that well.

    10. *They proceed to pay their mortgages at the expense of the tenants.*

But hey… “They worked hard for what they have”.

Then you have women who become millionaires by producing OF content.

Ppl like Danielle Bregoli get famous and made rich for doing basicly nothing.

“I bought this house in 1983 for $20 and a 6 piece mcnuggets, have done absolutely nothing at all to it, and now I want $500,000 for it. “

The problem isn’t taking a mortgage, it’s paying it off ASAP 🙄. No modern young couple has enough money to afford to pay cash for a home, unless one of them is extremely successful or extremely Rich 😉.

    14. Don’t worry you’ll have the house paid off in time to die…or do they expect 20 year olds to buy homes hahahahahaha
