      Just out of curiosity— are places with such populations really dangerous in London? I live close to the south side of Chicago, it is riddled with crime, and it is obviously not because of black people, but income inequality and poverty that makes people do some bad things. I am asking whether such a correlation exists in London as well for poverty and Indian/Pakistani/black folks, which may be the root cause of crime in these areas?

      This is not incorrect. That quite literally what Swedish police is warning about in Stockholm as well. They don’t list the nations, but they do mention the geographical regions. You can’t beat or change statistics.

      Don’t know about that Indian bit… most violent Indians I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with were either just scammers or creeps online… but in general it’s wise for women not to go out at night alone, especially when traveling.

      Interesting things happening here with this document:

      1.Indians and Pakistanis are distinguished as separate ethnicities and nationalities but both reduced to something travellers should avoid.

      2. No such attempt is made for black people and the entire race, from Africans to americans, Afro Europeans afro Latinos etc. Literally anyone black is assumed to be dangerous.

      3. Danger is not to be expected from anyone outside the black race and the South asian ethnicity. Thereby priming travelers to be completely vulnerable when approached by dangerous people of their own race or ethnic group and all white people.

      Truly amazing, galaxy brain stuff here. I haven’t read the thread but since this is the internet I assume there are posters talking about crime statistics and trying to minimize how immensely stupid this is and need to find some kind of way to condone their irrational dislike of people based off their appearance and what they *think* they know about their culture.

      I have flown Air China and landed in London, but did not receive this or any other “leaflet”.

      It’s real but it’s from an in-flight magazine (that was later withdrawn), not a destination-specific pamphlet given to passengers.

      I flew into Heathrow with China airlines a week ago and can confirm no racist leaflet was given out. Don’t believe everything that is posted on Facebook.

      I honestly agree with it about not going out at night alone. But just because most of the built up areas in England are unsafe at night. I’ve had many terrible experiences

      It’s hilarious that countries that are often targeted as racist, e.g. UK and US are in reality the least racist. Ppl clearly don’t travel enough

      Ironically in India they say to avoid anything Chinese. They even banned tons of apps from China since they were stealing and scamming people.

      It’s not overly wrong, London is lowkey a bit of a shithole, pickpockets, homeless encampments, and drug dealers all over the place. I can only imagine it’s gotten worse since I was last there.
