      Damn, I hope mamdani batted his eyes and made trump promise to sign an EO forcing ConEd to lower their rates, cause they are entirely out of control and pushing people to the limit.

      Trump has the emotional maturity of a toddler and just mirrors the behavior of people around him. He’ll be back to calling Mamdani a jihadist terrorist the next time he’s in a room with his more hardcore MAGA cronies.

      It is my personal headcanon that Trump must have started thinking of his time in NY before all the presidency stuff when Mamdani showed up and maybe trump secretly wishes he was back in that time , before he was surrounded by the worst people on the planet, constantly having to try and save his face from humiliation after humiliation. Maybe deep down trump really hates all this and misses being a kid in NYC, and talking about NYC mellowed him out. I mean look at him, I’ve never seen Trump so genuinely happy, he fucking loves Mamdani.

      I think the quote “He beat them all easily” is quite telling. Trump thinks of himself as a winner and wants to be associated with winners. He also thinks of himself as both the most popular person in history, and an underdog. The fact that Mandani won by such a large margin against the establishment, means he is exactly the kind of person Trump admires.
