      >*This is probably one of the most unique-looking dolphin species I’ve seen in California.* [Northern right whale dolphins](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_right_whale_dolphin) *are one of the only dolphin species without a dorsal fin, giving them a sleek, whale-like appearance. This helps them glide smoothly through the water with less drag.*
*These dolphins can reach speeds of over 22 mph (35 km/h) and often leap across the water’s surface in a series of long, graceful jumps.*
*Northern Right Whale Dolphins can form superpods of up to 3,000 individuals!*
*They’re acrobatics experts – They love to leap, spin, and belly flop, often performing synchronized jumps in the wild.*
*They frequently travel with Pacific white-sided dolphins, forming mixed-species pods.*
*Though they spend a lot of time at the surface, they can dive deep into the ocean to hunt squid and small fish.*
*We came across this pod of about 500 northern right whale dolphins while cruising the northern Channel Islands looking for orcas. It was my first time seeing them and it was quite amazing watching them porpoise next to us and ride our bow. A sight I will never forget!*

    2. I don’t know if this is real or not, but we are entering an age where anything new will be endlessly questioned as to whether it is A.I. or not.

    3. I mean, I just learnt about it, but obviously a random photographer didn’t discover an unknown before dolphin species with that picture.

An obviously and purposely ambiguous and dumb caption that gives no real information, because that’s how the internet is
