Wish in one hand and shit in the other. See which one fills up first.

His opinion is irrelevant. The qualifications for elected office are defined in the Constitution, and it cannot simply be changed on a whim by people who don’t like it. Changing it would require a new Constitutional amendment which requires a 2/3 vote in both the House and the Senate followed by ratification by 3/4 of the 50 state legislatures. Not going to happen.

    3. It’s a bad take because it’s literally the Constitution that says naturalized citizens can hold any office short of the presidency. It’s NOT a bad take because his mother is a naturalized citizen who held office. (Edit: to be clear, this would be because she is natural born, which is why this is NOT the take.)

If there’s an irony here it is that Nikki Haley is still (publicly) a supporter of Trump, who did the same “birther” thing with her that he did with Obama: claiming she’s not eligible to be President due to not being natural-born. While it is true that her parents were born outside the country, it’s also true that Trump’s mother was born outside the US. It’s a racist and vile thing to say. Supporting racism is racist, regardless of what color or ethnicity you are.
