    1. Open Water Swimming Career Highlights
At the age of 18, Sherratt became the first person to swim 36.2 km (22.5 miles) across the length of Loch Ness in Scotland in 31 hours 41 minutes on 26-28 July 1966 to join the 24-hour club.
Her build up to her Loch Ness crossing included a 5 km Bala swim, 8 km Coniston, 18 km Windemere crossing where she started as a 17-year-old and finished as an 18 year old, and 16 km two way crossing of Coniston.
Sherratt recently retired after nearly 40 years of swim coaching, but she is still mentoring in the Cub Scouts.
